Past, present and future
28th August 1989 in a small licensed office on Portland Terrace, Southampton, Selling Ideas began its proud journey to become one of the south coast’s leading creative organisations. And with a number of long-standing, big brand B2B clients, the business achieved many of its short term objectives for recruitment, international operations and dependable reputation as providers of ‘world-class’ branding, campaigns, creative services and trade show management.
Growth and success also meant relocation along the way, with short but valuable stays on Town Quay and London Road, before settling at the now inimitable Portland Street address that has been home for the business since 1996. At that stage Selling Ideas had clients in USA, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, UAE and the Far East, and that record is still very much in evidence today.
So where is the business now? Well, for starters it has a new name. Idealogy was born in November 2005 and it was a statement that the game had changed. Over the preceding 16 years the organisation had earned the right to work alongside major consumer facing brands – but to be taken seriously we had to be much more than providers. We needed to become consultants, delivering valuable and differentiating advice.
And today, that’s what Idealogy does, all over the world. Operating on the demand side of the brand and marketing equation, the brand essence is ’Demand Created’ and we have all the evidence to substantiate that claim. This new website is a clear statement of the progress we have made as a business, as people and as strategic partners to our fantastic clients.
