Struggling New York restaurants create downloadable designer recipes

Restaurants around the globe are having it tough in lockdown. Some are offering takeaways and deliveries to keep business ticking over, while some are 100% furloughed. And then there’s another group in New York that have partnered-up with a talented group of illustrators and designers to give something back to the community and hopefully secure some donations for their staff.

This group of restaurants have formed Family Meal and are each offering a downloadable recipe to one of their most popular dishes so that anyone can create the same dish at home. Different designers have tackled each previously secret recipe to bring it to life and the results are beautiful.

Just donate, download, cook something new, and support some of the places that make New York special. More cities should do this! Browse the recipes here.
